Transparency / Website privacy
Your data.
A clear explanation.
Prepared October 2026. This page describes the current website code, not a final privacy policy for the unreleased app. Hosting configuration, retention periods, responsible business details, and applicable privacy requirements still need verification before launch.
What this website does
This version is a static website. The page code does not use analytics, advertising scripts, tracking cookies, or browser storage. The interactive map uses fictional marks; it does not request your location.
That does not mean a website collects no data. The hosting and delivery provider, Cloudflare, receives technical information when a browser requests pages. The exact account settings and logging practices need to be verified for the final notice.
Early-access requests
The form prepares an email in your own mail app. Nothing entered into the form is saved by this page or submitted to a website database. You must review and send the email yourself. Your first name and fishing/boat category are optional.
If you send the email, the receiving inbox gets your email address, message contents, and the information normally included with email. Bluewater Command currently uses Gmail for these requests. The site does not automatically enroll you in a mailing service or reserve a testing spot.
Development emails and contact
The early-access request asks for permission to send occasional development and early-access updates. You can ask to stop those emails by replying or contacting bluewatercommand@gmail.com. A general question or feature suggestion is not consent to receive marketing updates.
Don’t send passwords, payment information, private fishing coordinates, or other sensitive material you do not want included in an email conversation.
Data ownership and the future app
Bluewater Command’s commitments include not selling personal data or fishing spots, keeping core use offline-first, and providing free full export. Those are product commitments, not a claim that no information is ever processed.
The released app and any future optional online features will need their own accurate explanation of data handling. This website notice should not be treated as an app privacy policy.
Requests and questions
Email bluewatercommand@gmail.com to ask about information you have sent or to request that development emails stop. A verified final policy must explain applicable rights, retention, and request handling.
